Bad news for Tanzania: Samatta missed Africa best player award

TANZANIA Captain, Mbwana Samatta has been removed  to the list of Africa best player of the year after being nominated among 30 players for the award.

The committee that headed by a former Nigerian player Emanuel Emunike selected five players in the final list.

The Committee has selected Borrusia Dortmund and Gabon Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang, Senegal and Liverpool winger Sadio Mane, Egypt and Liverpool top goal scorer Mohamed Salah, Nigeria and Chelsea versatile player Vicotor Moses and Naby Keita from RB Leipzig and Guinea.

BBC is the main sponsor of the award, Algeria’s player Riyad Mahrez playing Leicester City is the currently Africa best player 2016.

Tanzania international Samatta crowned Africa best player 2015, for the players conducting their business in African continent. Samattta was then with TP Mazembe of DRC Congo.
