Barcelona transfer news: Real Madrid rocked as Chelsea star Hazard agrees move - report

BARCELONA are closing in on Chelsea star Eden Hazard despite interest from Real Madrid, it has been claimed.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have both been linked with Hazard amid uncertainty over his Chelsea future.

The Catalan giants want more attacking firepower after missing out on Antoine Griezmann who, after a lengthy transfer saga, chose to stay at Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, are eyeing Hazard as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has left the Bernabeu after nine sensational years to pursue a new challenge in Serie A with Juventus, who he joined for a huge £88million.

Yet Transfermarketweb says Hazard has agreed a stunning Barcelona move.

Chelsea are determined to keep hold of their talisman and have axed Antonio Conte to make way for Maurizio Sarri.

They hope that Sarri will stop a mass exodus of players who, last term, failed to buy into Conte’s methods.

Hazard, along with Thibaut Courtois and Willian, has been tipped to leave the west London giants.

But Transfermarketweb say that Barcelona, and not Real Madrid, will be the Chelsea star’s next destination.

Hazard has reportedly agreed to sign for the Catalan giants and will move in a £80m deal.

And what that means for Real remains to be seen.

Hazard is on a four-man wishlist but, up until now, looked the most easily-attainable of all the players on it.

PSG are likely to complicate their pursuit of Neymar.

And they are also reluctant to let Kylian Mbappe leave considering his stunning performances at the World Cup for France.

That just leaves Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

But, with the England international primed to win the World Cup golden boot, luring him away from Tottenham is easier said than done.
