The Calcio Insider is reporting that Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso is very keen on moving to the Premier League with Liverpool his dream destination.
Speculation of Tolisso wanting a move to Liverpool was further fuelled due to an interview Tolisso did back in December 2017 for Onze Mondial.
“For me, it’s (Bundesliga) a very good championship. But the best is the Premier League.
“There, there is more spectacle and competition.
“I like the long game, the passes between two opponents, the passes behind the defense. It’s beautiful stuff too I think.
“I’m not going to say that because otherwise people will say, he compares to Gerrard, but I like the passes that Gerrard made.
“Steven Gerrard is someone who knew how to do everything. He could score, defend. You could see him everywhere.”
Tolisso is clearly a fan of both Liverpool and club legend Steven Gerrard and now the Calcio Insider is reporting he wishes to play for them in the future, a move could well be on the cards this summer as Liverpool look to strengthen their midfield.
Tolisso began his career with Ligue 1 side, Lyon. He would work his way through their youth ranks before going onto make 160 appearances for the French side.
In those 160 appearances, Tolisso would score 29 and assist 17. The Frenchman is naturally a central midfielder. However, Tolisso is incredibly versatile.
Throughout his career Tolisso has played centre mid, centre defensive midfield, centre attacking midfield, left back, right back, right midfield, right wing and even secondary striker.
This shows what a talent the 23-year-old is as he has the ability to play so many positions.
Tolisso would then move to German Champions Bayern Munich in July of 2017 for a fee in the region of £37.5 million.
In his debut season, Tolisso played 40 games for Bayern, scoring 10 and assisting seven, an excellent record for a centre midfielder, which shows how well he can get forward and influence a game, as well as get back and defend.
