The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed three officials including a Tanzania referee Heri Sassi with Fifa badges to officiate Africa Confederation matches.
The appointed referees will officiate the games between Fosa Juniors of Madagascar versus As Port Louis from Mauritius on March 18 this year at Madagascar's Mahamasina stadium.
TFF Information Officer Clifford Ndimbo on Tuesday released a statement saying that Sassi will officiate the game and will be assisted by Ferdinand Chacha and Alli Kinduli while Alphonce Mwandembwa will be a reserve referee. The match commissioner will be Lewis Blaze Madeleine from Seychelles.
The Vodacom Premier League Board selected Sassi as the best referee in the last season premier league after officiating Yanga and Simba matches three times.
Elsewhere TFF Committee member Ahmed Msafiri Mgoyi has been selected to lead the confederation cup match for Club Desportivo Costa Do Sol of Mozambique against Cape Town City from South Africa.
The match is scheduled to be played on March 7, 2018, Estadio Nacional Dol Zimpeto, Maputo.
TFF Vice President Michael Wambura has been selected to lead the Zesco United of Zambia versus against Asec Mimosas from Ivory Coast. The match is scheduled to be played on March 7, 2018, at Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Zambia.
