FULHAM have stunned London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal by capturing Jean Michael Seri from Nice.
The highly-rated midfielder has been a target for the Premier League trio.
But off the back of their promotion to the top flight last season, Fulham have swooped to win the race for Seri.
Barcelona saw a £35m deal fall through last summer for Seri, and he was once again chased by a host of top clubs ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
Fulham, though, have convinced the 26-year-old his future lies at Craven Cottage.
Seri has penned a four-year contract and revealed he is excited for a new challenge in England’s capital.
Speaking at Motspur Park on Thursday morning, Seri told Fulham's official website: “It was a long day yesterday so it was great to get the move finalised.
“It's a new adventure that starts for me and I’m hoping it will all go well”
“Now, I’m ready to get started and looking forward to meeting the squad and getting to know them, the Head Coach and his staff better.
“I’m delighted to be here, it’s a new adventure that starts for me and I’m hoping it will all go well.”
Fulham's sporting director Tony Khan said of Seri’s arrival: “I’m delighted to announce that Fulham Football Club has signed midfielder Jean Michaël Seri from Nice.
“Jean Michaël arrives with Premier League qualities as well as great promise for the future, which is why he has been at the very top of our target list for a long time.
“So, this is a big day for everyone associated with Fulham and working at Motspur Park, and I trust all Fulham supporters are collectively as thrilled and ecstatic as we are that Jean Michaël will be joining our squad as we return home to the Premier League!”
Chelsea and Arsenal have turned to other midfield targets in the meantime.
The Gunners have signed Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria, while the Blues are set to land Jorginho from Napoli ahead of Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Fulham have also announced the signing of Maxime Le Marchand.
The double raid of Nice sees the 28-year-old versatile left-back join too and he said: “I’m very happy to sign for Fulham, this is a big club that’s very popular.
“I’m also happy to have joined up with a good friend, Jean Michaël Seri. I know that there is a lot of hard work ahead and I hope to bring my very best to this team.”
