Cristiano Ronaldo: Man Utd 'preparing first Real Madrid transfer bid' after exit claims

MANCHESTER UNITED are preparing their first bid for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo amid claims he has decided to quit the Bernabeu this summer.

Manchester United are eyeing an emotional Ronaldo return with the Real Madrid star looking likely to quit the Bernabeu this summer.

Reports in Portugal claim the 33-year-old has decided to leave following a breakdown in relations with Florentino Perez.

United have always wanted Cristiano Ronaldo to return, despite him quitting Old Trafford back in the summer of 2009.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon says the Red Devils have a bid prepared for their former No 7.

It is claimed Jose Mourinho is ready to try and tempt Real with a sensational swap deal.

Paul Pogba will supposedly be offered to Real, along with a huge £131million transfer fee.

And Real are mulling over whether to accept, with club president Perez a known admirer of Pogba.

The France star’s relationship with Jose Mourinho has broken down in recent months.

And Real, as well as La Liga rivals Barcelona, have both been tipped to snap him up.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, speaking last week, addressed talk that he could join Ligue 1 giants PSG.

But she also admitted she would prefer her son to rejoin United instead.

Dolores Aveiro said: “I like Paris. I come every now and again.

“The last time was when my son received the Ballon d'Or.

“It was a great honor. When I arrived I was treated well by everyone.

“Convince Cristiano to sign for PSG? To be honest, it wouldn't annoy me [if he did].

“But I would prefer him to return to Manchester United.”
