Tanzania’s Simba SC celebrated their D-Day by beating 1-0 Rayon Sport of Rwanda in a highly contested friendly match which took place at the National Stadium.
It was the game which the Dar es Salaam side also used it to introduce their newly signed players, team Jessy and also Simba app.
Hero of the day was Mohammed Ibrahim who scored in the16 minute of the first half when he connected a pass from Emmanuel Okwi.
Ibrahim Connect the ball into the net beating Rayon keeper, he punched the thin air, celebrating his goal.
It was the game which Simba showed it's intent and desire that they are ready for the coming vodacom premier league.
The goal lasted the whole first half, after recess teams made some changes.
It was substitution of the host team which brought creativity in the team.
Coach Joseph Omog, introduced Haruna Niyonzima who showed his potential by bringing in more creativity in his side.
Niyonzima was a thorn in the fresh of Rayon team as he was leading his side in attacking the visitors defense.
On top of Okwi and Niyonzima who had a good day, Shiza Kichuya was also at his best.
People who watched the game had also a good time watching Ghananian import Innocent Giyan who had a good game.
Before the game, Simba honored their legend Abdallah Kibadeni a life time achievements while left back Mohamed Hussein "Tshabalala" was awarded by supporters for his performance last season
