Spain keeper who is a long term Real target wants to double his pay after mega deals for Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba
With his status in the game at an all-time high, the Spanish keeper wants to double his money under any new contract.
David De Gea demands mega £350k a week to stay at Manchester United
De Gea has seen both Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba signing for United on massive money since his last deal was penned.
He is constantly linked with Real Madrid — who are watching developments with interest as De Gea’s current terms run out in a couple of years.
However, United are desperate to keep him and give him a pay rise that reflects his worth to them and on the world stage.
De Gea earns around £180,000 a week but that leaves him way behind Pogba and Sanchez, who is on £505k a week.
And sources close to De Gea say he wants to be paid fairly but will not demand more than Pogba or Sanchez.
United know extending the stopper’s stay for four or five years would be money well spent.
