Diogo Dalot was in London on Sunday ahead of completing his whirlwind move to United.
Azania Post that there were only ‘smaller details’ to finalize over the weekend following a breakthrough in talks between United and Porto over a transfer fee and that a deal is 'nearly done'.
Dalot watched his sister, singer Marianna, perform at the Half Moon pub in Putney on London and could yet sign for United in the coming days.
The 19-year-old has a £17.5m release clause in his contract, which can be activated from June 30, but United may yet have to pay around £19m to land the Portuguese youngster before then amid competition from eight other clubs.
"Nobody wants to activate a release clause, nobody ever does," a source close to the player previously revealed
"The release clause must be activated by the player so the club has to give the money to the player and the player has to pay taxes on that money.
"The club has to pay more to compensate the player and so on. Besides, the clause can only be activated on June 30 and Manchester United wants to make sure they secure the player before that because several other clubs are willing to pay €20m plus.
"Paying more in a normal transfer fee is less than what they would have to spend if the player activates the clause."
The youngster made just eight appearances for Porto's first team in his breakthrough season - which ended in title glory last month Dalot is currently recovering from a knee injury but will be fit for the start of pre-season.
