Full Time: Liverpool 4-1 West Ham

It's all over. Ahead of Manchester United and Chelsea on Super Sunday, this looked a good opportunity for Jurgen Klopp’s men to improve their top four chances and they didn’t fluff their lines with goals from Emre Can (30), Mohamed Salah (50), Roberto Firmino (57) and Sadio Mane (77).

Michail Antonio notched a consolation for West Ham, who caused problems for Liverpool in the first-half courtesy of Marko Arnautovic. They remain four points off the relegation zone. Stay tuned for highlights on mobile from 5.15pm.

86: CLOSE! Lallana links with Salah on the edge of the box and makes half a yard for himself. It opens up for him but he blazes the chance over the crossbar.

Liverpool’s margin of victory means Manchester United must beat Chelsea tomorrow to climb back to second. Jose Mourinho might curse a sincere lack of defending from West Ham for Mane’s strike.

Sadio Mane all but secures Liverpool’s climb to second place in the table.

72: MISS! How does Mane manage this one? Oxlade Chamberlain threads a lovely ball through to Mane, who is only 12 yards out with Adrian to beat. He curls it off the outside of the post.

66: CHANCE! A ball towards the back post finds Arnautovic, who rises about Can but can't direct it back across goal. The ball loops over the crossbar and onto the top of the net. Two West Ham players were charging in.

Where did that come from? Liverpool go from looking like world-beaters to being opened up with one simple pass. Antonio - who has only just been sent on - races down the right-edge of the box and finishes across Karius with a low finish.

Hope for the Hammers.

Michail Antonio, on a sub, scored almost straight from the kick off for the Hammers.

Firmino scores Liverpool’s third.

55: CHANCE! West Ham are pushing higher up the pitch, which is opening the game up. Alexander-Arnold fizzes a lovely ball down the line for Oxlade-Chamberlain to chase. He gets to a shooting angle but pings it into the side netting.

After a very quiet start to the half, Salah kickstarts Liverpool. He wriggles into space in the area and reverses a lovely finish into the far corner. He makes it look so simple.

Salah has now set a new Premier League record of 20 left footed goals in a season.

Enjoyable game. West Ham are behind but aren't out of this. Arnautovic has hit the bar and forced Karius into a smart save. Liverpool have been in control and created plenty against a stubborn Hammers. The opener came from set-piece, which Can forced home

43: YELLOW! Robertson tries to sprint away down the left but Collins trips him - very cynical. Clear booking.

42: SAVE! When did Arnautovic become Cristiano Ronaldo? He's been brilliant. With not much on, he decides to smack one - in the style of Ronny - from 30 yards and it swerves all over the place. Karius scrambles across and palms it clear.

37: CLOSE! Alexander-Arnold is impressing down the right. He breaks in behind then flashes a low ball right across the six-yard box. Adrian - again - is stuck on his goal-line. Luckily for him, Firmino was caught on his heels.

More from Anfield: When Patrice Evra committed a foul, the home fans sang for Luis Suarez.

That Liverpool goal was their 100th of the season. They could have made it 101 but Mo Salah has just missed a great headed chance.

29:Emre Can nods in from a corner. Sixth of the season for the contract rebel and the best laid plans of Moyes and men go up in smoke.

28: Promise again for Liverpool - they break down the left with Firmino, who moves into the area. He has space to fire one at Adrian but reverses a ball back into the area. Collins clears.

24: OFFSIDE! Salah makes the same run, but West Ham can't deal with it. He goes from right to left and looks for the ball in behind. Can finds him but he went too soon. A yard off.

21min: OUCHIE! The ball skids out to Milner on the edge of the box...he strikes it but Noble slides in with studs-showing but only to block the ball. Milner kicks Noble's boot and remains down.

Not for long though - he's going to run this one off. Warrior.

19 min: CHANCE! Great game this. Firmino's movement is outstanding. He jinks down the right and digs a cross out which Mane meets from 12 yards out. His header is poor. Loops over the crossbar.

17 min CHANCE! West Ham keep the pressure on. The ball finds Zabaleta at the back post and he has support in the middle. His half-volley flashes across goal but there are no takers. Liverpool living dangerously.15 minSalah with a brilliant touch inside the box to bring down a ball over the top, only for Collins to clear it away before the shot could arrive. Credit to the Hammers' backline for standing up to the task, though we have played just 15 minutes.

13 minRobertson is seeing plenty of the ball down the left-hand side. So far West Ham have managed to stand firm, though they did have that huge scare early on when Salah struck the post after being fed by Firmino inside the area.

11 minLiverpool with more than 80% of possession in the opening 11 minutes of the contest. West Ham with a chance to break, but Joao Mario loses the ball as soon as he received it from Arnautovic - West Ham simply have to do better in those situations.

9 minDifficult to see West Ham holding out for the full 90 minutes at this rate; they are being pegged right back and struggling to pick up Liverpool's runners. Salah with some nice movement in behind, but Adrian gets to the ball first.

7 minA dominant start to the contest by Liverpool, who came within inches of opening the scoring less than five minutes in. Another quick move culminates in Alexander-Arnold getting a cross in for Collins to head behind for a corner.

5 minOFF THE POST! So close to a breakthrough goal less than five minutes into the contest, as Firmino picked out Salah, who in turn picked out the upright with his shot from 14 yards. Adrian at full stretch and could not get a touch.

3 minArnautovic will have to make the most of any chances he gets to run in behind, which on this occasion he fails to do. Van Dijk with an error, though the Dutch defender did well to recover by intercepting the ball before his opponent could reach full speed.

1 minKICKOFF! West Ham, aiming to break into the top half of the division this weekend, get us under way at Anfield. Expect the Hammers to get pretty much every player back behind the ball for large parts of the contest

Liverpool: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Can, Milner, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Subs: Lovren, Gomez, Henderson, Moreno, Lallana, Mignolet, Solanke.

West Ham: Adrian, Zabaleta, Collins, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Evra, Joao Mario, Kouyate, Noble, Lanzini, Arnautovic.

Subs: Reid, Hugill, Hernandez, Byram, Hart, Antonio, Rice.

Referee: Stuart Attwell (Warwickshire)

Playing for the Hammers today is Manuel Lanzini, a player linked with Liverpool last summer when it looked as if Philippe Coutinho would be sold. Now that Coutinho has gone, it doesn’t look like Liverpool actually need a replacement but Lanzini can do himself a few favours.

Today marks 25 years since Bobby Moore passed away, and both West Ham and Liverpool will remember England’s 1966 World Cup captain today.
