Two Tanzanian athletes are in action today at the ongoing world athletics championships in London, the United Kingdom (UK)

Athletics Tanzania (AT) secretary general Wilham Gidabudai who is in London said the two are ready for the event.

He named the two who will compete at 22.05GMT in 5000 meters as Emanuel Giniki and Gabriel Gray.

Gidabudai said if the two qualify they will compete in the finals against Mo Farah and others on August 12.

“The team is ready for the event which will be held today (Wednesday) this is our last chance, we hope they will do well," he said.

Meanwhile, Gidabudai said many top Athletics are following local athlete Felix Simbu who won bronze at the event.

"There are many top agents and companies who want to enter business agreements with Simbu, but as the association we have advised him to wait for agents who will follow procedures to sign him," he said.
