BARCELONA duo Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez have reportedly asked Ernesto Valverde to sign Bayern Munich ace David Alaba in the summer.
Barcelona have been in fine form this season with Messi and Suarez driving the Catalan giants towards a seventh La Liga title in 10 years.
Messi and Suarez have been in stunning form with the duo continuing to push Valverde’s side onto even greater heights.
However, despite Barcelona dominating La Liga and Spanish football in general this season, Valverde looks set to splash the cash this summer.
And Don Balon say Messi and Suarez have both told the 53-year-old to strike a deal for Bayern defender Alaba.
The 25-year-old impressed for boyhood club Bayern this season.
Injuries have somewhat hampered his campaign but Alaba has still been able to make 18 appearances, scoring twice.
His performances have also helped them to the cusp of a sixth consecutive Bundesliga title.
And Don Balon say Messi and Suarez have been hugely impressed by the Austria international.
They supposedly feel he would be a huge Barcelona hit if Valverde was to snap him up, and better than Lucas Digne.
And they also reportedly reckon his arrival would be far more useful than that of Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann is Barcelona’s top transfer target for the summer, with the Atletico Madrid man likely to leave his current club.
But whether Valverde heeds the advice of his star duo remains to be seen.
Alaba is expected to feature for Bayern when they go up against Paderborn late today .
