Barcelona has emerged as suitors for Mohammed Salah with the Liverpool star currently taking the footballing world by storm.
The Reds talisman bagged goals 42 and 43 of the season as Jurgen Klopp’s team hammered Roma 5-2 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at Anfield last night.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have also been tipped to lure Salah away from Liverpool.
But Spanish website Don Balon claim Messi has told Barcelona’s hierarchy to make a move for him this summer.
Express Sport understands the Catalan giants are primed to strengthen their attack this season.
Antoine Griezmann and Thomas Lemar are both on their radar.
Griezmann could leave Atletico and Barcelona hope to beat United and Real to his signature.
Lemar, meanwhile, is also a target but Liverpool still appears well-placed to secure his arrival.
However, Don Balon say Messi has told Barcelona to pursue a deal for Salah instead.
It is said the La Liga giants have been endorsed by Philippe Coutinho.
Coutinho has reportedly been praising former Liverpool team-mate Salah and told Messi about his quality.
Meanwhile, Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard believes Salah is the best player in the world.
“He’s in the form of his life,” he told BT Sport.
