LIVERPOOL forward Roberto Firmino is wanted by Barcelona in a shock transfer raid, according to reports.
Firmino tops a list of five stars being monitored by the La Liga champions as potential replacements for Luis Suarez.
Suarez's goal tally has gradually decreased since he bagged an incredible 59 goals in the 2015/16 season.
But with his 32nd birthday approaching and his potency diminishing, Barca are growing concerned.
The Argentine's contract expires at the end of next season and Nou Camp bigwigs are considering cashing in.
With that in mind, Barca have drawn up a list of world-class talent they hope to bring in.
Firmino has burst into life after a quiet start at Liverpool and become a vital cog in Jurgen Klopp's well-oiled machine.
According to Don Balon, known for their outlandish transfer news, Barca see the Brazilian as the perfect foil for Lionel Messi.
After two outstanding seasons on Merseyside, Firmino could be set to follow the same path as his compatriot Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona tracked the former Reds playmaker and eventually sealed his transfer in January for £142m.
Liverpool would demand an exorbitant amount for Firmino who signed a new contract in April this year.
Although the former Hoffenheim star is happy at Anfield, the pull of the Nou Camp is almost impossible to resist for Brazilian players.
If Barca fail in their pursuit of Firmino they will reportedly turn their attention to Tottenham talisman Harry Kane.

Kane topped the scoring charts at the summer's World Cup and has many admirers at the Catalan giants.
Next on the list is 22-year-old German star Timo Werner who would be available for a lower price than Firmino and Kane.
Finally, two lesser-known options make up the targets - Winger Nicolas Pepe of Lille who is wanted by Arsenal among other clubs.
And lastly, Barca are watching Genoa's Krzysztof Piatek, a Polish striker who has scored eight times in just six Serie A games so far this season.
