Liverpool have been handed a huge blow, with reports claiming that a £140million star wants to leave the Premier League and secure a LaLiga move.
Mohamed Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in summer 2017 for around £34million, and the Egyptian enjoyed a phenomenal debut season at Anfield.
He scored 44 goals in all competitions, won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year, FWA Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season awards, as well as the Golden Boot, and led Liverpool to the Champions League final.
Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon previously reported that Real Madrid had opened talks with Salah’s representatives over a potential move in the summer.
Now, Don Balon claims that the former Roma man would have been allowed to leave Liverpool in the summer had an offer of €160m+ arrived.
In addition, they state that Salah is ‘desperate’ to leave England and secure a move to Spain, with Barcelona and Real Madrid the only realistic destinations.
Their report goes on to state that Salah is ‘suffering in silence’ due to the absence of a release clause in his current deal.
