REAL MADRID are ready to loan midfielder Dani Ceballos to Liverpool in the summer, reports in Spain suggest.
Ceballos, 21, has barely featured for Real Madrid since joining from Real Betis last summer and is on the hunt for a move away from the Bernabeu, according to Diario Gol.
It is claimed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has asked Anfield chiefs to launch a swoop for his signature.
And Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly cooked up a plan to send Ceballos to Merseyside.
Diario Gol claim Ceballos will be allowed to join Liverpool on an initial loan deal with a permanent option.
But Perez is reportedly only willing to sanction the transfer so that relations will improve between the two clubs making it easier to sign Mohamed Salah.
Salah has emerged as a target for Real Madrid as a result of his stunning debut campaign for Liverpool.
The Egypt international has reportedly been earmarked as a potential replacement for Karim Benzema, who faces an uncertain future at the Bernabeu.
According to Diario Gol, Perez plans to offer Benzema in part-exchange for Salah.
It is claimed Klopp is not keen on the French striker but discussions between the two clubs are taking place.
Diario Gol report that Ceballos is likely to leave Real Madrid and join Liverpool if Zinedine Zidane remains in charge of the first team.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is being targeted by Real Madrid
Ceballos has been limited to just two La Liga starts this season and is growing frustrated by his lack of action.
Last week, Spanish journalist Cristobal Soria claimed Liverpool attempted to sign the Spain Under-21 international in the January transfer window as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho.
“Ceballos wanted to go to Liverpool in winter and the club wouldn't let him,” Soria told El Chiringuito TV.
“Something's going on.”
