LIVERPOOL transfer news is coming thick and fast with the August 9 deadline fast approaching and Express Sport is on hand to bring you all the latest gossip.
Chirivella to go
Liverpool have agreed to sell midfielder Pedro Chirivella to Rosenborg - hours after his pre-season friendly appearance against Manchester United.
Chirivella played for Liverpool in Saturday's final USA tour game - a 4-1 win over Manchester United in front of 101,000 fans.
But that is likely to be his last appearance in a Reds shirt after a £3.5million fee was agreed with Liverpool.
Chirivella, 21, will travel to Norway to undergo a medical in the next few days.
Liverpool will receive £2.4million up front with the fee potentially rising to £3.5million with add-ons.
As part of the deal the Reds have negotiated a buy-back option for each of his first three seasons at Rosenborg.
Nicol wants Bonucci
Liverpool should look to sign AC Milan and Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci before the transfer window shuts next month, says Reds legend Steve Nicol.
Bonucci is reportedly keen on leaving AC Milan just a year after joining and has been linked with a return to Juventus.
“Absolutely,” Nicol said when asked if Liverpool should sign him.
“Well I’m not in charge. Absolutely yeah, why wouldn’t you?
“Unfortunately I’m not in charge, or I would (try and sign him).”
Klopp on signings
Jurgen Klopp has spoken out on his defensive transfer dealings this summer.
Klopp has been busy during the transfer window, bringing Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson to Anfield.
Naby Keita also joined Liverpool with a deal having been secured last summer.
And Klopp is happy with his options in his backline and will not look to make any signings for that part of his squad.
When asked if he will strengthen his defence, Klopp said: ”This summer? No. I'm happy with our players to be honest. I don't see the need.
“Joe Gomez brings a lot of things that we don't find on the transfer market to be honest."
Fekir interest over
Sky Sports News reporter Bridge has ruled out Nabil Fekir moving to Liverpool this summer.
The Reds came close to signing the Lyon midfielder before the World Cup but the pulled out of a deal after discovering knee problems during his medical.
And Bridge has now poured cold on water on any hopes Liverpool had of reviving their interest.
“We all thought it was done,” Bridge told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“There were complications over a medical. It scuppered the deal. There is so much confusion.
“Since the cancellation of the deal, they’ve brought in Shaqiri and Alisson. I imagine they will look at outgoings.”
