MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho is ready to mould Marcus Rashford into the complete centre-forward - because he has ‘lost patience’ with Anthony Martial.
Manchester United boss Mourinho trusts Rashford to become one of the best players in world football, despite his ongoing battle for consistency.
The England international enjoyed a stellar international break, scoring in matches against Spain and Switzerland for Gareth Southgate’s side.
There is, however, a feeling that he could do more for Manchester United, with the player yet to scale the heights many expected.
And the Evening Standard say Mourinho has decided to turn Marcus Rashford into the ultimate forward.
Two years ago, the player was unknown.
Only those who attended United’s reserve games were aware of the talent he possessed.
Louis van Gaal knew it too - which was why he handed him his debut during a Europa League match against FC Midtjylland.
Rashford scored twice that night but, despite Mourinho giving him plenty of opportunities, he has struggled to nail down a regular spot in the side.
Jamie Carragher urged the 21-year-old to leave Old Trafford last night.

But the Evening Standard say Mourinho is backing Rashford to bring his England form to United.
Regarding Martial, however, it is a different story.
It is claimed the 55-year-old has ‘lost patience’ with the player for his poor performances.
While Martial has gone off the boil since Alexis Sanchez’s January arrival, Rashford has spent hours trying to make his mark.

Last night, Gareth Southgate predicted a bright future for the United hitman.
“I’m really pleased for him,” said Southgate.
“We know how exciting he is and we know he is going to be a top player.
“He’s got a super mentality and he’s great to work with.”
