MAPINDUZI Cup defending champions Azam FC today will play their second match when they face Jamuhuri FC in Group A match at Amaan stadium in Tanzania’s Island.
After won their first match against Mwenge, Azam FC will look for another three point to make sure they qualify for the next stage.
Azam FC manager, Philip Olando said that their squad is in good shape toward the match as they prepared well.
“We have made made good preparations, we know the importance of today’s three points as we need to qualify early to the next stage,” he said
According to Olando, coach Aristica will keep on mixing young players with seniors as they want to use the tournament to build a strong squad.
“We have a widen squad with quality players, it’s a policy of the head coach to invest in young players,” Olando said.
He added that midfielder Salum Aboubakary has already returned to the squad after he was out due to family matters.
If Azam wins today they become leaders of Group A with 6 points followed by Mwenge with 4 points.
