MANCHESTER UNITED have made a sensational swap deal offer for Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Red Devils are keen to bring the Portuguese back to Old Trafford this summer.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol, known for their outlandish transfer claims, say United have tabled an offer of Paul Pogba as well as £61.5m for Ronaldo.

Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to let the France international leave the club after a disappointing season.

The Special One even dropped Pogba earlier this year for a series of matches.

Ronaldo has once again been in sensational form this season, netting 44 times in all competitions.

THE European team of the season according to stats includes a surprise Arsenal defender as well as the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

And the 33-year-old can cap off another great campaign by winning the Champions League on Saturday if Real Madrid can beat Liverpool.

Ronaldo is said to want a higher salary at the Bernabeu to put him in line with Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Paris St-Germain forward Neymar.

But Real president Florentino Perez is reluctant to meet his demands with the Portugal international entering the twilight years of his career.
