KILIMANJARO Stars coach Ammy Ninje has assured Tanzanians that he will make sure the team emerge winner in the remained two matches in ongoing CECAFA senior tournament being held in Nairobi.
Ninje said despite a 2-1 defeat by Zanzibar Heroes on Wednesday, Kilimanjaro team is optimistic to win the remained two games. He said that still believe his team will qualify to semi final if win the remain two matches.
Kili Stars are now remained with two matches against Rwanda and Kenya in group A and they need to win all.
Speaking on the past match with Zanzibar Heroes, Ninje said that his team played well in the first half as Himid Mao scored the leading goal for Kili Stars but in the second half it was down.
“I believed we played well, very well, we made two mistakes and that’s what cost us but real the team played good.
“I don’t want to look on the single player mistakes, I told my players not to give up as we are still having chance if we won two remain matches,” He said.
The Isles has now accumulated 6 points after a 2-1 win against Kilimanjaro Stars in an ongoing CECAFA senior challenge cup match.
