Paralympic team in Tanzania fails to qualify for next year Common Wealth games

Tanzania Paralympic team will not participate in the coming Common Wealth games to be held in Australia in April next year after failed to reach standard ranked.

Tanzania was supposed to send five teams namely Swimming, Table Tennis, Boxing, Paralympic and Athletes,

The Tanzania Olympic Committee (TOC), Secretary General, Filbert Bayi said that they will send only four teams and not five as it was before.

“We will send only four teams now, Paralympic failed in qualification and the time for registration is out,” he said.

According to Bayi, boxing team will camp in Cuba and table tennis will camp in China.

The camp for athletes will be in Ethiopia, where the team would include the famous Felix Simbu.

“All the camp are under the government in collaboration with the hosting countries, we need to see medals s in various tournament,” said Bayi.
