Dani Ceballos is reportedly pushing for a move out of the Spanish capital, in order to work under Jurgen Klopp.
Arriving at Real Madrid in the Summer, the 21-year-old Dani Ceballos expected bigger things than what he’s received. Being midway through the La Liga season, the Spaniard has just two league starts to his name, matched strongly with two league goals.
However, this tidy statistic isn’t what the young man was hoping for when he turned down Barcelona, he was looking for more game time. With the World Cup fast approaching, you can see why this is the case, he isn’t just being egotistical.
With Philippe Coutinho now a Barcelona player, something Ceballos could have been, the Spaniard may get his wish. Although he offers different things to the Brazilian, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Liverpool are renowned for their fiery attack, with each attacker consistently getting on the score sheet, this is something Dani Ceballos would only add to. He’s able to deploy Coutinho’s old role of being the link between midfield and attack, however he’ll feel like he can offer a lot more than that in a goal scoring sense, despite being a midfielder.
If Liverpool do choose to acquire Dani Ceballos, Jurgen Klopp won’t need to worry about adapting the system, as the young Spaniard is able to adapt his playing style to match. The Spaniard will face healthy competition from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the midfield role, with the former Arsenal man impressing Jurgen Klopp.
