Report from Spain said that Cristiano Ronaldo has asked Zinedine Zidane not to start Theo Hernandez when Real Madrid face Paris Saint-Germain next Tuesday.
Real are in the driving seat of their Champions League last-16 tie against the French giants having won the first leg 3-1 two weeks ago.
But they'll be without first-choice left-back Marcelo at the Parc des Princes due to suspension.
Real signed Hernandez from city rivals Atletico Madrid last summer to deputise when the Brazilian defender is unavailable.
However, it seems two of Real's most senior stars do not have faith in Hernandez to step into Marcelo's shoes against PSG.
According to Diario Gol, Real skipper Sergio Ramos is not convinced by Hernandez.
And he's said to have admitted this in the Bernabeu dressing room.
Ronaldo apparently shares that concern and he's reported to have passed it on to Zidane.
Ronaldo and Ramos would supposedly prefer to see Nacho Fernandez line up on the left against PSG.
And that's because they believe Nacho is more adept defensively than Hernandez.
Diario Gol claim Ronaldo and Ramos want Real to play it safe in order to book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Real were handed a boost this week when it emerged Neymar might not play in next Tuesday's clash.
The Brazilian forward injured his foot during PSG's Ligue 1 showdown with Marseille on Sunday night.
