Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told Sergio Ramos that he wants Real Madrid to face Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Real are in the midst of a bitterly disappointing campaign by their high standards and currently sit third in La Liga.
Their only hope of securing major silverware lies in the Champions League, in which they possess a 3-1 advantage over Paris Saint-Germain.
Real came off the worst earlier this season when they hosted Barcelona at the Bernabeu, with goals from Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, and Aleix Vidal ensuring Ernesto Valverde's side took all three points.
Reports in Spain suggest Ronaldo has revealed he wants Real to be matched up against their arch-rivals if they get past PSG in the Champions League though.
According to Diario Gol, Ronaldo told Ramos: "I want Barca in the quarter-finals."
Ronaldo is said to have added: "This is the plan" and "It's the right time" while discussing the potential last-eight showdown.
Ronaldo apparently believes Real are in better shape than earlier this season and that they have regained their confidence.
And that means they can blitz Barcelona as they look to secure a 13th Champions League title.
Diario Gol reckons Ronaldo's desire to get one over on Barcelona has a personal motivation too.
They claim he sees it as the perfect opportunity to undermine Messi in the battle for the Ballon d'Or.
