Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has declared himself fit fit for tonight’s premier League clash against West Brom.
Antonio Conte revealed in his pre-match press conference that the Spain international could be unavailable for the rest of the season with a back injury.
A video emerged on Instagram last night of Morata dancing with his wife Alice Campello.
The clip was posted on the social media site by Campello to her 1.3million followers but the comments section was flooded by fuming Chelsea fans questioning his injury.
But he replied to one supporter claiming that it was an “old video” and said: “I’m not injury, I’m OK for the game tomorrow. A lot of critics now but no problem for me!”
Morata has not featured since seeing red against Norwich City in the FA Cup on January 17.
He has scored 13 goals this season but has not hit the back of the net since the Boxing Day win against Brighton.
Conte previously ruled Morata out of facing West Brom, with new signing Olivier Giroud expected to start.
He said: “Morata will not be ready.
“If you ask me whether he needs a day, a month or the rest of the season, I don’t know. I’m worried.
“He is a very important for us but has been missing for a long period of time.
"I don’t know how long he will be out. We are struggling a lot to find a solution to solve the pain in his back.”
Chelsea will be without midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is suspended.
Wing-back Marcos Alonso could return after missing the defeat at Watford but defender Andreas Christensen is a doubt with a hamstring problem.
