Simba Sports Club was at in Dar es Salaam in the reverse fixture against Mwadui FC on September 17 last year, when they cruised to a 3-0 win.
They will be at away Thursday to face Mwadui FC in the 18th round of Vodacom Premier League at Kambarage Stadium in Shinyanga.
The Msimbazi giant club will be hungry to show their fans what they are capable of after witnessing their arch-rivals Yanga triumph to a 4-1 win against Songea’s Majimaji on Wednesday to close the gap at the top to four points.
Simba so far has accumulated 41 points for the 17 games is expected to field a strong line-up including top goal scorers Emmanuel Okwi and John Bocco, according to Simba assistant coach Masudi Djuma.
Masudi Djuma said they are in a fine mental condition to play away on Thursday and assured the club fans of the maximum points.
“We are good enough to win, but as I said every match is like a final. We have to fight for the club,’’ he said.
Mwadui FC head coach Ali Bizimungu told Azania Post that they need three important points against Simba.
“We are here to make sure Simba does not get any point, meaning we want to win the game,” he said.
Simba Sports Club is the only team that is without a loss this season.
