League leaders Simba will today look at keeping up their great form in the ongoing Mainland Premier League when they host Shinyanga’s Stand United at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Simba racked up their third win in four league matches in February when they cruised to a 5-0 drubbing of Mwanza’s Mbao FC at the same venue last Monday.

And, Simba will now be targeting to inflict defeat to the Shinyanga based side today so as to move 8 points clear of their closest rivals in the league standing.

Simba are on the top of the table with 45 points, five ahead of rivals Yanga on 40 points after 19 rounds of matches.

Simba assistant coach Masudi Djuma said that his side will miss threat posed by strikers John Bocco and Emmanuel Okwi but that is no problem to them.

“We will miss them but we have a wide squad and therefore, others can take their place.

“We are sad to miss them through injury but we hope they will be back soon,” said Djuma.

Okwi and Bocco have scored 26 goals between them in the mainland Vodacom Premier League.
