Yanga has confirmed today that they will participate in the SportsPesa Super Cup tournament to be held in Nairobi, Kenya from June 3 to June 10, 2018.
Speaking with Journalists Yanga Secretary General Charles Boniface Mkwasa confirmed that they will participate in the 7-day tournament that will kick off June 3, 2018.
The Champion of the SportsPesa Super tournament will earn 30,000 dollars and will also get a chance to go to England to face EPL side Everton on SportsPesa expense.
Tanzania's mainland newly crowned champions Simba will also take part in the tournament, alongside Singida United.
Zanzibar will be represented by one team in the shape of JKU whereas Gor Mahia and AFC Leopard which participated in the inaugural tournament in 2017 in Dar es Salaam, will be Kenya representatives.
Gor Mahia are the reigning champions after beating bitter rivals AFC Leopard 3-0 in the final in Dar es Salaam.
