Barcelona continued their impressive domestic form with a 3-0 victory over Levante, the win coming hot on the heels of the confirmation of Philippe Coutinho's signing, something which Luis Suarez made clear he was happy with.
Suarez didn't enjoy the best first half of the season in terms of goalscoring, but has started the second in a much better way.
"As a former teammate, as a friend, I'm very happy for him," he explained in his post-match interview.
"I think he's going to contribute a lot to the team.
"Everyone knows the quality that he has; he's been in the elite group of players for many years."
The Uruguayan forward made clear that building fitness is an integral part of returning to action after the break.
"After the break it's difficult to regain your fitness," he admitted.
"It's important to have good training sessions, though it's just as important to have a good break at this point in the season."
Sergi Roberto provided the assist for the forward's goal, something which the former Liverpool star was grateful for.
"I'm making Sergi Roberto famous for his assists," he joked.
"I told him that; he's giving us a lot in attack and defence.
"That's important for a player who has come from the youth team."
