TANZANIA Football Federation (TFF) will soon announce the vacancy for the post of the secretary general of the federation, TFF President Wallace Karia said while speaking in an interview with a local television.
Currently, Wilfred Kidao is the acting secretary general for the TFF, the president said while praising him for his creativity for the time he has been acting for the post.
He said Kidao is a hard working person and has been carrying out his duties according to the directives given by his superiors.
“The acting secretary general has been very supportive and usually gives us and the federation very good advices,” he said.
Karia won the post of the president for the federation last year in a heated contested vote with Jamal Malinzi after winning with 95 votes from the 128 casted votes.
In the election, former TFF Secretary General failed to clinch the post that saw the former player Ally Mayaye garnering 9 votes to win the position.
Other participants for the post of secretary general included former Yanga SC chairman Imani Madega who got 8 votes, Emanuel Kimbe and Shija Richard who got 1 and 9 votes respectively.
