APPROXMATELY 91 teams will participate in Azam Sports Federation Cup (FA Cup), the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has said .
TFF technical director, Salum Madadi said the premier league clubs will join the league at the second stage after some of the teams kicked out.
Madadi said 24 teams come from Second Division League (SDL), 24 teams from First Division League (FDL), the 16 teams from Vodacom Premier League (VPL) and 27 teams for Regional clubs league (RCL).
According to Madadi, the first matches of the Cup are expected to kick off on October 31, 2017 until November 2 at Karume memorial stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Defending champions, Azam Sports Federation Cup, Simba SC
The official launch of the Cup will be a day that defending champions Simba SC playing their first match.
The first match will be between Buseresere FC from Geita against Green FC of Songwe, where as Kisarawe United from Coast Region will clash Silas from Mtwara while Usamala FC from Simiyu will clash against Sahare All Stars from Tanga).
This is the third season of Azam Sports Federation Cup where Tanzania giant club Yanga and Simba both take one whereby the winner of the cup represents country in African Confederation Cup.
