Delegates to Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) general meeting in Dodoma voted for Wallance Kalia as the federation new president.
Kalia who got 95 votes from one hundred twenty eight voters was vice president of TFF in the previous regime of Jamal Malinzi.
At the elections former Secretary General of TFF Fredlick Mwakalebela got 3 votes, people's favourite and former player Ally Mayaye9 votes, Former YangaSC chairman Imani Madega 8 votes.
Others Emanuel Kimbe and Shija Richard got 1 and 9 votes respectively.
Three votes were null and void.
He will be in office for a period of four years.
In his previous interview, Kilia who had some issues with the immigration concerning his nationality promised to develop the sport from grassroots levels.
He said he has noted that the country has many talented players but are not sported at tender age.
Speaking today morning,minister responsible for sports Dr Harrison Mwakyembe urged delegates to the meeting to vote for a person who has passion for the sport.
He also promised government support to sports in the country.
