THE Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) President Wallace Karia said that he decided to vie for the post after he saw many challenges in previous management.
Karia who was being interviewed on Saturday by a local TV station said that after recorganizing the mistakes that TFF has done, he decided to enter into the race to rescue Tanzanian football.
“I took the Presidential form and followed all the procedures to the election. I was elected and this makes me believe that I have the ability to manage the federation than the former management,’’ he said.
Before being elected to the current post, Karia was a Vice President at the time Jamal Malinzi was President of the Tanzania Federation.
Karia stressed that they are very keen and careful with officers who are involved in corrupt acts.
“We shall be very strict with such people. We want to clean the federation and want it to be clean all the time,” he emphasized.
He said his administration would not tolerate ny person involved in fraud.
“We want a transparent TFF that avoids all malpractices moves,” he said.
The President said he wants to leave a mark, a clean sheet, which when if his time erupts, Tanzania Sports stakeholders can say something positive on his era.
