THE Vodacom Premier League which had briefly break to pave way for Mapinduzi cup, resumes today with three venues open.
At Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya region, football supporters will witness the Mbeya derby pitting Tanzania Prisons against traditional rivals Mbeya City in the VPL 13 round.
At the Nangwanda Sijaona Stadium, Ndanda FC will host Mbao FC from Mwanza.
Mtibwa Sugar will travel to Iringa to face Lipuli FC who their technical bench is reportedly in dispute forcing assistant coach Suleiman Matola moving. The game will be played at Samora stadium.
On Monday Njombe Mji FC will host Kagera Sugar while Yanga will play Mwadui FC on Wednesday.
Simba will host Singida United on Thursday while Azam FC will travel to Songea to play Majimaji FC.
Simba are on the top of the table with 26 points after playing 12 matches while Singida United is placed third with 23 points.
Simba SC acting coach, Masudi Djuma told Azania Post that they are expecting to camp out of Dar es Salaam for their preparations of Thursday’s match.
“I know it is going to be a tough game.We have already started training since yesterday(Friday) and I hope we will have a serious camp soon,” he said.
The team still misses Haruna Niyonzima and Emmanuel Okwi who are key players, according to Djuma
