Tottenham Spurs defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama welcomes Tanzania striker Mbwana Samatta who makes his business at KRC Genk in Belgium to joins him in English Premier League.
Wanyama who is also Kenya's 'Harambee Stars' captain revealed this shortly after arriving in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania today on June 20, 2017, for the holiday break after the 2016/17 EPL’s season ended.
He pointed out that the KRC Genk player who is the captain of Tanzania National team, Mbwana Samatta has all the qualities to play in any of the footbal clubs in Europe.
The tough-tackling midfielder, who has a five-year deal at White Hart Lane after joining from Southampton for an undisclosed fee last season, noted: “Samatta is a good player, he has all quality of playing to any big clubs in Europe, I welcome him to play in England.”
“I know Samatta, he is a good player although we never met before, I've been watching him, he is with great potential and he has all the quality of playing in any of the big clubs in Europe, that’s why I advise him to think on shifting to any of the English Premier League clubs,” he said.
Wanyama also said that he knows many teams in Tanzania but he is very familiar with Young Africans and Simba SC.
He further encouraging Tanzania players to work hard so as to get a wide chance ‘ticket’ of playing internationally.
Wanyama is one of the few players from East Africa who play to the famous leagues in Europe particularly the English Premier League.
