Young African’s four goals to one against Majimaji Wednesday made a Valentine day precious for Young Africans fans who wants the Jangwani giants to defend its title, which is being hunted by their opponent, Simba.
It was a Congolese defensive midfielder, Pappy Tshishimbi who assured Yanga of a victory after scoring two goals out of the four in a Vodacom Premier League played at National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
Tshishimbi opened a scoreboard in the 20 minute after Majimaji’s Mpoki Mwakinyuki caught a ball which was entering into the goal.
A referee of the match gave Mwakinyuki a straight red card before giving a penalty to the host, Yanga that was scored by Tshishimbi.
The goal reduced Majimaji players morally giving room for Yanga control the pitch,
Obrey Chirwa made the second goal in the 29th minute after receiving a very good cross from Yanga’s defender Gadiel Michael on the left of the pitch. This is the 11th goal for the Zambian talisman striker.
An amazing third goal was scored almost 35yards from the goal; by Emanuel Martin in 44 minutes making the first half end 3 for Yanga while Majimaji 0.
The second half started well evert team trying to make rooms for goals. However, it was Majimaji, which made in the 55 when Majimaji was awarded a penalty after Juma Makapu’s handball within an 18 metres area.
Thanks to Majimaji’s Marcel Bonaventure who gave his team the only goal, he netted in 56 minutes, making Yanga3 Majimaji 1.
But 7 minutes to go, in the 83, Tshishimbi against raised Yanga fans after scoring the fourth goal from almost 30 yards of the goal.
Analysis shows that Young Africans dominated ball possession of about 57 percent to 43 percent of Majimaji in the first half.
The Jangwani had seven shots on target with Majimaji’s three.
Both teams had one yellow card and Majimaji FC received one red card.
However, the second half changed when Majimaji FC controlled the ball possession by 51% to 49 for Young Africans.
Foul committed were six for host and eight for Majimaji. They both shared three corners for the first half and second half.
