Tanzania’s Simba SC head coach Joseph Omog reveals that the Club will arrange some friendly matches to help the team prepare well ahead of 2017/2018 Vodacom Premier League (VPL) kick off next month
Speaking with Azania Post today in Dar es Salaam, Omog said that the testing matches will help him asses his squad and also make the team ready for local and international competitions.
The Cameroonian trainer further said: “I have a good team with quality players, but they need competitive friendly matches before the league kicks off.”
He added: “I have proposed to the management to arrange some friendly matches whether local or international, but the reason behind i want to assess my players whereby the friendlies will help them to be ready for the league.”
Simba SC, has so far signs many players from within and outside the country.
Some of the newly signed players are Emmanuel Okwi , Shomari Kapombe ,John Bocco ,Salim Mbonde and also are rumored to have signed Haruna Niyonzima among others.
The team was second in the 2016/2017 league and won Azam Media Sports Confederation Cup (FA)
Omog said his side was the best performing in the last league which saw their arch rivals Yanga SC emerging winners with a difference of goals scored.
The Coach said that will use the last season success to build a winning team for this year VPL season and other competitions.
