Tanzania national soccer team, Taifa Stars players land-in Dar es Salaam safely from Benin where they played a FIFA Calendar friendly match on Sunday and forced a 1-1 draw with West Africa giant.

Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Information and Communication Officer, Alfred Lucas said that the squad are in good condition after the game in Benin.

He also said that after the squad arrived in Dar es Salaam today, players are directly joining their clubs ready for Vodacom Premier League (VPL) matches.

 “The team arrived safely after the heavy duty in Benin. We are happy for what they did after forced a draw away,” he said.

FIFA will international friendlies and qualifiers matches to rank the nations in the list which will be released on November 23.

The draw may lift Tanzania to good FIFA ranking for the November status due to Benin’s currently being in 79 while Tanzania is at 136.
