Tanzania teams Yanga, Simba and Azam FC were defeated by Uganda Revenue Authority(URA) in Mapinduzi Cup which is ending tomorrow in Zanzibar.
The teams played at Amaan Stadium.
The Uganda based team had already qualified for the final that scheduled for January 13 where it will face a rival Azam FC which is defending its title.
URA’s defence was so strong not allowing opponents to penetrate to the goal.
But experts are also saying the team is very much organised and full of discipline.
Simba SC was the first team to test a defeat from URA, then Azam followed in group stage.
But Yanga which entered hopping to revenge following consecutive defeat by URA, found out losing in penalties as it was in last year’s defeat.
All teams which formed group B has managed to qualify for a final stage, only those in group A which means Azam FC and URA. This proves that group A was the toughest group of all. Fans are expecting a very challenging game between the two teams.
