Dar es Salaam, Young African ‘Yanga’ climbed to the top of the table after beating Kagera Sugar 2-1  and now left with only 3 matches to the end of the premier league VPL 2016/2017.

The first goal was  scored by Godfrey Mwashiuya  after Simon Msuva scored a header from a corner. As of 45’+5 mistake done by Kevin Yondani made Mbaraka Yusuf to equalize. So the first half ended a 1-1 draw.

Yanga started a second half with the pace to get 3 points and at a 52’ Obrey Chirwa scored with the assistance from Haruna Niyonzima. At the 87’ Mbaraka Yusuf got  red card, the foul made to Kevin Yondani.

Yanga is on top of the league table with 62 points and 54 goals same as Simba SC but 46 goals, so Yanga lead with goal difference.
