As Vodacom, Premier League (VPL) continues today, the defending Champion Tanzania Mainland League Young Africans (Yanga) will face Majiamji FC (Wanalizombe) at Majimaji Stadium in Songea, Ruvuma whereas as Yanga chases three point.
Football fans will enjoy watching the game at Majimaji Stadium with capacity of conveying approximately 30,000 football fans, the game is expected to start around 16:00EAT.
Yanga stand on 5th position in VPL table after playing two games, draw one game against promoted team Lipuli FC, and won 1- 0 against Njombe Mji, the goal scored by Ibrahim Ajibu by free kick.
Yanga team’s doctor Hussein Bavu confirmed that assistance captain Thabani Kamusoko was physically fit to play the game after minor injuries, but only if team’s head coach will decide to include him in today’s squad; other reported to have injuries was Geoffrey Mwashiuya who suffers from knee injury, although he has started training with the team.
Captain of the team Nadir Haroub said they are fit to face Majimaji today. “I am sure we will win against Majimaji FC.”
Today’s other games are Mtibwa Sugar FC which will be needed to revenge after last season lose 5- 0 against Mbao FC game will be held Manungu Stadium Morogoro; Tanzania Prisons FC will host Ndanda FC at Sokoine Stadium Mbeya; Lipuli FC will play against Ruvu Shooting, while Stand United will scramble for three points against Singida United at Kambarage Stadium in Shinyanga.
