Dar es Salaam Young African (Yanga SC) will play Ruvu Shooting in a friendly clash at the National Stadium on Saturday as the mainland soccer champions prepare for the season's traditional curtain raiser Community Shield derby against Simba.
The premier league champions Yanga and confederation cup winners Simba will meet in their first derby of the season on 23rd August one week before the start of the 2017/18 season.
Ruvu Shooting are expected to prove a tough test to George Lwandamina's men as Yanga gunning for the most anticipated game against their arch rivals.
The Saturday game will give the Zambian tactician a chance to assess his players who during their game against Singida United were not on their best as players committed many silly mistakes which allowed the visitors to have full control of the game.
The Vodacom premier league defending Champions performance against Singida United did not impress many of its fans and supporters and they will expect an improved side on Saturday.
Yanga SC are also expected to use the match to introduce their attacking midfielder Kabamba Tshishimbi who was signed from Mbabane Swallows.
The Jangwani based side is also going to use the game against Ruvu shooting as preparations for their encounter against their archrivals Simba SC in community charity shield on August 23 at the National Stadium.
