Mexican presidential candidate, Maria de Jesus Patricio has survived injuries in accident, which involved two vehicles, it has been reported.

Sources said the accident occurred in Mexico’s Baja California Sur province causing the death of one person, a driver of the other side.

Authorities said a vehicle carrying 11 people, including Patricio, on the highway in Baja California Sur collided with a trailer.

In the accident, Patricio and two others in the vehicle were injured, authorities noted.

Authorities explained that Patricio's left arm was broken in the course of the accident.

Presidential candidate Patricio is expected to compete in the presidential election to be held on July 1 in Mexico.
