US President Donald Trump has underscored his promise to expanding cooperation between Washington and Mexico on three key issues.
Speaking over the phone with his Mexican president Pena Nieto, President Trump said in a statement that the cooperation is on security, trade, and immigration.
Trump also offered condolences to the families of those killed when a chopper assessing damage from a powerful magnitude earthquake crashed in Southern Mexico.
On his part President Nieto returned the sentiment and expressed Mexico’s solidarity with the United States following the high school shooting in Parkland, Florida," the White House said in a statement which was availed to Anadolu agency.
The earthquake struck the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca on Friday. A military helicopter surveying the damage crashed while landing, killing at least 13 people who were on the ground.
